AFTER SCHOOL MUSICAL

After School Musical is the brain child of David Pershica, a theatre professional from Philadelphia.

Our Mission is two fold:

 

1.  To provide Arts programming to all high school students in the Philadelphia School District.

 

 

2.  To give studetns the opportunity to work side by side with Theatre professionals from Broadway and Philadelphia.

 

DAVID PERSHICA has worked professionally in Theatre for over 25 years.  In that time he has worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in London, Las Vegas and has done 4 national tours. Currently, he is a Greenfield Fellow with the Philadlephia Theatre Company.  HIs reputation as a "Theatre Renaissance" man is what prompted him to begin this project.  

David began working in theatre as a Tap dancer and choreographer.  Along the way, he became well versed in all aspects of theatre from Directing and Producing to Lighting and Sound Design, Box Office, Front of House, and of course as a performer.  His first love is the job that brought him to this project, Teaching Artist.
